Kylian Mbappe has publicly stated that he will be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer.

The French international announced that he will leave PSG this summer, reportedly to join Real Madrid. The Spanish giants have long been connected with an offer for the World Cup winner, and it now appears that the transaction will be completed once the transfer window opens and his contract ends. Mbappe’s destiny has been unknown for months, but the player has now confirmed that he will leave the city where he was born.

Real Madrid had the potential to sign the global sensation last season, but they refused to pay PSG’s high asking price and instead chose to wait until he became a free agent. This summer, he will most certainly join Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham in Madrid as the Spanish club assembles one of the most brilliant squads of the modern period.

Mbappe said in a video message on social media: “I’ve always said I’d speak to you when the time comes, and so I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain, I will not extend, and the adventure will come to an end in a few weeks. It’s a lot of emotions, it’s painful, and I never expected it to be this difficult to declare that I’m leaving my nation, but I believe I needed this, a new challenge after seven years. “PSG is a club that never fails to impress; I have no regrets about signing with this famous club.”

“I’ll remember this club for the rest of my life. I won’t be a player anymore, but I will always watch the games. I wanted to thank you because without you, I would never have experienced half of the emotions I did. Thank you all; I hope we conclude this year with one last trophy, and I know you will be in my heart forever,” Mbappe added.
